V. John Threlkeld is the President and Founding Partner of Advantage Wealth Advisors. In his 28 year career in the financial services industry, John has worked with PaineWebber, Dean Witter Reynolds, Morgan Stanley, and UBS Wealth Management. John attended Pepperdine University, Loyola Marymount University/LA and the University of California, Berkeley where his degree work included business finance and mathematics. John served his country and was awarded an Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force.

John devotes considerable time to continuing education on advanced wealth management strategies and advanced case design. John is also an LPL Registered Principal and Branch Manager, and holds his Series 7, 24, 63 & 65 Licenses with LPL Financial. In addition, John holds California, Nevada, Oregon & Arizona State Insurance Licenses.

John lives in Alamo, CA with his wife Kristen and daughter Ella who's in high school at Monte Vista, while son Lukas attends college in Santa Barbara. John enjoys baseball, golfing and fishing in his spare time. John is a member of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Exchange Club of San Ramon.

Milton Guzman is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional and Retirement Income Certified Professional®. He focuses on developing strategies for individuals, their families, and businesses to help plan for long-term financial goals aligned with a client's values and aspirations.

He enjoyed a successful 15-year career in the pharmaceutical sales industry, learning the importance of a dynamic and individualized approach to helping clients address their needs. Deciding to pursue his passion for finance, he joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 2010, and later, Merrill Lynch. Milton joined Advantage Wealth Advisors in 2013, and continues to work closely with healthcare professionals assisting with their financial planning concerns.

Milton obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Retirement Income Certified Professional® designations which provide financial services professionals with the technical knowledge, practical experience, and communication skills needed to create and build a client centric wealth advisory practice. He approaches wealth management in a consultative manner, combining knowledge, experience and acumen with a deep understanding of his clients' financial vision. Milton employs an investment philosophy centered on planning effectively and acting decisively to help pair client objectives with market opportunities. He is dedicated to serving clients in the accumulation, preservation, and transfer of significant wealth. He holds his Series 7 and 66 securities registrations with LPL Financial and his California state insurance license.

Milton is a 1988 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in Economics. He traveled extensively during his service, having been stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI and San Diego, CA. He currently resides in Walnut Creek, CA where he enjoys spending time with his family as well as time outdoors, playing golf, fishing, hiking, and attending San Francisco Giants’ games.

Charles “Chip” Presti brings more than 30 years of financial services experience working with clients from the accumulation through the income stages of investment planning. Chip believes that taking the time to really get to know and understand his clients and their goals is the most important step in the financial and investment planning process. He specializes in developing personalized strategies with the goal to help individuals and families maintain their desired lifestyles throughout retirement and works with clients to pursue their legacy and estate planning goals, addressing to manage risk through tax-efficient wealth preservation strategies.

Chip began his financial services career in 1988 at MuniCorp of California, Inc., a regional broker/dealer specializing in municipal bonds. In 1995, he became an independent financial advisor with Associated Securities, one of the nation’s first independent broker/dealer firms in the country. In 2007, he joined First Allied Securities where he met John Threlkeld. He later joined Advantage Wealth Advisors in 2012 as a financial consultant. He holds his Series 7 and 63 securities registrations with LPL Financial and his California and New Mexico state insurance licenses.

Chip and his wife, Jan reside in Corrales, NM. He is an avid runner and spends much of his free time providing support and counseling to children from families struggling with addiction problems.

Dwight Peterson has been a Bay Area resident and an active leader in the financial services, corporate, and business communities for over 35 years. Dwight’s experience can be measured by the strong, lasting relationships he forms with his clients based on trust and mutual respect. Dwight’s passion for investing began at the ripe age of twelve. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BS in Accounting and received his MBA from St. Mary’s College where he was a recipient of the John Saloma award.

Dwight believes that an intimate knowledge of each client is critical to creating an executable strategy that encompasses estate planning, investment allocation, distribution sequencing, tax optimization, Social Security options, and ongoing financial coaching. For clients approaching retirement, formulating a glide path (financial plan) provides the confidence that can help lead towards retirement success and enjoyment. Dwight furthered his experience in the area of retirement planning by attaining the Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation. A focus on the psychological aspects of finance is a recent fascination.

A resident of Danville, Dwight is married to his wonderful wife, Karen, of 40 years, and the proud father of two accomplished children. Dwight loves watching college basketball and is a big fan of the Kentucky Wildcats.

Jon Lee joined Advantage Wealth Advisors in 2008 and brings more than eight years’ experience to his role providing equity research, portfolio, operations and transition support. He is a member of the Advantage Wealth Advisors Investment Committee. Prior to joining the independent wealth management firm, Jon spent several years at Pacific Mountain Partners.

He holds his Series 7 and 63 securities registrations with LPL Financial and is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) Level III Candidate. He attended Saint Mary’s College of California where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration - Finance in 2006.

Jon and his wife Kristin live in Danville, CA with their son Anderson (age 3) and daughter, Lois, born in 2015. Jon enjoys playing golf and watching San Francisco Giants’ games.
